Award Winning Magician – Thats me!

I often get asked about the awards that I have won for my magic.

Well over the years I have entered many national and International magic competitions with varying success.

Many years ago I won the Nottingham Guild of Magicians close up magician of the year, three times in a row, but my biggest achievement is winning the International Brotherhood of Magicians 2025 ‘Close up competition’

This is a wonderful award and I received a trophy with some amazing magicians names on it including Ali Bongo and Wayne Dobson.

So what is the IBM?

The International Brotherhood of Magicians (I.B.M.) is the world’s largest organization dedicated to the art of magic. It was founded in 1922 in Winnipeg, Canada along with a small group of magicians who wanted to create a community to share knowledge, preserve secrets, and advance the performance of magic as an art form.

Award Winning Magician – How do they determine the winner?

Well they have many people on the panel and they mark each act on magical experience, magical content, originality and technical ability.

My personal performance lasted about 8mins and was a mixture of talking as well as magic performed to music.

What is the reason to compete?
