Who is Alex Michael – Magician?
Alex is a professional close-up magician and childrens entertainer based in Nottingham. He has been performing professionally for 20 years and not only is lucky enough to do it as a job, is a magic fanatic with over 500 magic books in his collection!
What does Alex Michael do?
He performs close up interactive magic at private parties, weddings, corporate events and trade shows and any other type of event where adults need entertaining. He also performs at children’s parties with a magic show as well as a mini disco aimed at children ages 4 and above.
What does Alex wear when performing magic?
Depending on the type of event, for adults Alex will wear a suit or black tie. For children he wears a bright jacket so he can stand out.
There are so many magicians out there, how can I tell if Alex is good?
Most of Alex’s bookings are from word of mouth but if not just do a little research and you will find about 500 five star reviews on various platforms online. As Alex has performed so much he can almost guarantee he can give you a reference from someone who has booked him from you village!
Is Alex insured and covered?
Alex is part of Equity and as such is fully insured for £10,000,000
Can we meet prior to booking?
Of course, Alex will gladly meet and show you some magic and talk about your requirements.
How far does Alex travel to perform his magic?
For children’s parties, Alex performs locally in Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire. For close up magic, Alex is booked all over the UK. This year alone Alex has performed in Cornwall, Lake District and Hungary! You may find some of his adventures on his Facebook page here
How much does Alex charge?
The fee is very dependent on the location, the date, the availability and the type of event.
How long does the magic last?
For childrens parties Alex performs a 40min magic show, or can provide a 2hr long party. For adults Alex performs per hour, with an estimate of 1hr needed for 40 guests.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Alex gets enquiries daily and the earlier you book the better. Usually I can work to accommodate but there are certain peak dates in July/August for weddings and December for Christmas parties, which are booked well in advice.
